Bicyclists on the East Coast finally have access to a network of cycling trails— ranging from 8-1,000 miles—through every county on the Delmarva peninsula. Delmarva Low Impact Tourism Experiences (DLITE), a coalition of county tourism and conservation professionals, created the first-of-its-kind ADC map.

From a low of less than 1,000 turkeys in Maryland in 1970 to more than 30,000 birds today, turkeys are re-establishing themselves in their former ranges.

    Come celebrate the migration of hundreds of warblers, shorebirds and waterfowl as well as many nesting birds and raptors. Chose from 26 trips at 17 locations. This region possesses an extensive variety of environments including barrier islands, coastal bays, tidal wetlands, cypress swamps, upland fields and primeval forests. More bird sightings have been recorded here than in any other region of the state. The weekend combines boat trips, canoe treks and expeditions by foot.

    The peninsula joining Delaware, Maryland and Virginia boarders two of the richest, most diverse estuaries on the eastern seaboard. With this in mind a union of local, state, and federal agencies along with local tourism providers and natural resource managers has formed an alliance to encourage nature-based tourism and foster a sense of wonder and value for the natural world.
