Dignitaries from the Ocean City Tourism Department, Chamber of Commerce,
Hotel-Motel-Restaurant Association, and the Harrison Hotel Group traded
their steering wheels for a paddle on Nassawango Creek this spring. DLITE
and the Pocomoke River Canoe Company sponsored the one-day sojourn to tout
the county's natural assets to local tourism professionals. The groups are
now marketing the creek along with the Pocomoke River to help extend stays
and market a more diverse audience.
