  Canoeing and kayaking
Trading your pedals for paddles is easy on Delmarva where hundreds of
meandering rivers, creeks, and bays make the peninsula an ideal place for an
aquatic adventure. In the shallows bays behind Assateague you will find the
100-mile long Assateague Canoe Trail. Similar trails around the EA Vaughn
Wildlife Management Area, Nassawango, Primehook, and Marshyhope creeks,
Janes Island, Trappe Pond, and Pocomoke, Manokin, Appoquinimink, Murderkill,
Chester, Choptank, Wye, Nanticoke, and Broadkill rivers exhibit spectacular
natural beauty. The creeks and embayments on both sides of Virginia’s thin
neck of uninhabited paradise provide great opportunities for exploration.
